DISMEMBER: European Tour Diary Launched

February 12, 2008

Long-running Swedish death metallers DISMEMBER have just kicked off their Europa Burns tour alongside HATESPHERE, FALL OF SERENITY and LAY DOWN ROTTEN. The band has also launched a tour diary via the web site of the German edition of Metal Hammer magazine, with the first entry covering the the catastrophic beginning of the tour, including a missing tour bus, missing pedals, broken wireless and similar mishaps. The first diary (including photos) is available in English, German.

Anthony Chowanec of All Metal Music conducted an interview with DISMEMBER frontman Matti Kärki on February 6, 2008. Listen to the eight-minute audio file below.

Another new DISMEMBER track, entitled "Death Conquers All", has been posted on a special DISMEMBERMySpace page launched by Regain Records. The song comes off the Swedish death metallers' forthcoming self-titled album, due in Europe on February 18 via Regain (April 1 in the U.S.). The CD was recorded at B.A.S. studios with producer Nico Elgstrand (MURDER SQUAD, KRUX, MERCILESS, ENTOMBED).

DISMEMBER in May 2007 tapped drummer Thomas Daun (ex-REPUGNANT, INSISION, SUBVISION) to replace longtime skinsman Fred Estby, who left the band in April. "My decision to put my family in first hand makes it impossible to keep on touring and commit to the band full-time," Estby said in a statement. "I want to thank all the fans, friends, bands and all the other cool people I've met through the years and I wish DISMEMBER all the best in the future."
